Support groups are the most successful. People feel isolated knowing others experience helps them to know they are not the only ones like this raising their self esteem, and are able to emphasise with the others.

7. What do you think our current cultural attitudes are towards mental Health and how do you think Plymouth Mind is helping to change this perception?
I believe they are slowly getting better. People are scared at dealing with it and confronting issues surrounding mental health . Benefit systems, also can help aid recovery, but people need to know what is available to them before they are able to get the help they need. Recently Televisions, Adverts and radio is helping to raise awareness and encourage people to talk about these issues more freely.
