For many people who experience periods of mental ill health, Plymouth Mind continues to fulfil a vital role in their journey to recovery. To enable us to remain responsive we welcome your comments, ideas and suggestions.

Who Do We Help?

In addition we now offer advice and information to carers, relatives, friends, employers, health and social care professionals about any issue related to mental well-being. You can ring us on 01752 264960 or call in to our Parkside premises (behind Woodside) during opening hours which are variable. Up to date information is available on our website www.plymouthmind.org.uk . We will be pleased to help you.

  • Oasis, User Led Service – managed by Peer Support Volunteers
  • Activities, e. g. arts and crafts, table tennis, music
  • Group work, e. g. Exploring your Anger, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), etc.
  • Money advice and benefits advice for those in the Glenbourne Unit
  • Cafe in the Park
  • Support and advice in Channings Wood Prison
  • Training – promoting positive mental health (NB Some sessions are free but for others a charge may be made)
  • Help to manage your money
  • UK Online Centre with training and free access

How Can I Join?

You do not have to be a member to access any of our services. There is an annual membership fee for those who want to use our services regulary which could entitle you to discounts on meals, some activities and groupwork. The fee is £5 per annum and monies raised are used to support the Oasis Day Service.

Most of our services are free. You will have to pay for meals prepared on the premises or for light refreshments. You may also have to pay for some of the group work and activities and if you want to commission some training in the workplace.
