Community Champion Training Programme

What is the CCTP?

cctp-logoThe Community Champion Training Programme is a 30 month Erasmus+ funded partnership project which aims to create an NVQ level 3 training programme to improve skills for third sector workers in helping those with disadvantaged backgrounds to develop self-efficacy, confidence and self-belief.

It will improve skills for working with clients who have mental health issues and/or other disability and for working with those who come from troubled families and backgrounds. The newly accredited NVQ level 3 programme will provide a common framework for training that will aid transparency and recognition of competences and facilitate transfer of skills and mobility for people working across the European third sector. Through this qualification we will offer the third sector a common, standard framework for training where non currently exists.

The training will include modules underpinned with job coaching and motivational interviewing techniques and will be particularly useful for youth workers and educators in helping young people engage, or re-engage with education and training.
