Schools and school staff are crucial to supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of children and young people. This can be a challenging and daunting task.

Workshops for parents/caregivers

Supporting Emotional Literacy
Workshop Duration: 3 hours
No of attendees: Maximum 15; Minimum 10

Parents/caregivers have a key role in supporting children to recognise, accept and develop their emotions. Many schools are talking about Emotional Literacy and the positive impact it can have on children’s learning. This short workshop covers topics such as:  how to be a good listener; modelling the behaviour you seek; nurturing your child’s self-esteem; respecting differences; and using support services when needed.
