Blue Light Programme

Mind developed the Blue Light Programme to provide mental health support for emergency services staff and volunteers from ambulance, fire, police and search and rescue services across England and Wales. Plymouth & District Mind are delighted to be delivering on this programme in 2018-2019.

As part of this programme, we are offering:

1. Face to Face Support

You might have experienced something traumatic in or out of work that’s had a real impact.

If you’re finding things hard, Plymouth & District Mind are here if you need to talk or want to learn practical coping skills.

Free counselling sessions, recovery courses and peer support groups for staff or volunteers from local ambulance, fire, police or search rescue services.

2. Trauma Awareness Workshops 

Want to hear more about how to support a teammate after trauma?

This one-day workshop will enable you to:

3. Peer Support Workshops

Have you experienced mental health problems or emotional distress? Use your experiences to support and inspire others. 

This one-day Peer Support workshop will support you to learn the key principles of peer support and a range of techniques to empower others with their own wellbeing.

Through this workshop, you will gain increased confidence to deliver peer support in your 999 service, with links to a range of resources to help you.
